Dr. Harry Wynn Rickey, Ph.D., Tau

 

Dr. Rickey received his B.A. and M.A. at Tulane University and his Ph.D. at the Univsity of Bordeaux in France. He was a member of Phi Beta Kappa. He served in the infrantry in WWI, and as a Colonel in military intelligence in WWII. Dr. Rickey taught French and a Methodist Bible class, and served as chair of the French department at Southern Methodist University. He also served as the President of the South Central Modern Language Association (SCMLA) and President of the North Texas chapter of the American Association of Teachers of French (AATF); the chapter named a scholarship in his honor.
